Lunch with Lawyers

What is Lunch with Lawyers?

Lunch with Lawyers is a Socratic seminar series led on-site by a different visiting legal professional each time. Small groups of students, selected by their teachers on the basis of academic excellence, improvement, class participation, and school citizenship, enjoy a bag lunch and participate in a roundtable discussion on a current legal issue. The guest, an expert in the field, moderates the discussion and asks questions that encourage students to further develop their points of view.

Guests have included lawyers in the corporate, non-profit, and governmental sectors, as well as judges, politicians, activists, community organizers, and law enforcement officers. It therefore offers students exposure to a variety of careers in the legal profession.
