The Adams Street Foundation (ASF), located in Brooklyn, New York, is a small, nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the students of The Urban Assembly School for Law and Justice (SLJ). It carries out its enrichment and support mission by raising funds and running afterschool and summer programs, including college and career readiness. Incorporated as a non-profit in 2008, ASF resides within the school facility in downtown Brooklyn. ASF has a supportive and engaged Board, which includes representatives from major law firms and corporations, who also provide ASF with financial support through their fundraising efforts.
Reporting to, and in partnership with, ASF Board of Directors and SLJ's Principal, the new ED will continue to spearhead ASF's development efforts and oversee the day to day administrative functions of the organization. This position is replacing the founding ED of the organization. This person will be charged with maintaining our current individual donor base and building the development function by driving ASF's fundraising efforts through corporate, foundation and government sources. The ideal new ED has achieved success as a non-profit fundraising professional and can initiate and implement new fundraising strategies and projects directly connected to the mission and vision of the organization .
